LG G4 To Feature A Vegetable-Tanned Leather Back [Confirmed]

After a bunch of rumours on LG’s next generation Android smartphone, the South Korean giant has finally confirmed what the new device will look like, at least from the back. In the latest posts on LG’s Facebook and Google+ pages it has confirmed the attire of the yet-to-be-unveiled LG G4.

In its posts LG says the following: ‘Always have authentic luxury in hand. The brand new LG G4 with vegetable-tanned leather cover.
See the great, feel the great.’

This gives away one of the most exciting bits about the G4, that it will feature a vegetable-tanned leather back which not only looks brilliant but would also feel great in hand. The leather back will have a seam running along the length featuring contrast stitching, along with a new camera shape.

Recollecting all that we have heard about the LG G4 as of yet, it will come with a 16 MP primary shooter with OIS and a F1.8 lens, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chip instead of the newer Snapdragon 810 chip, a 5.5-inch 2560x1440 pixel Quad High Definition display, a micro SD card slot, a 8.9 mm thick shell and a 3000mAh-ish battery. Of course this is in addition to the vegetable-tanned leather back that has been confirmed last night.

With the speculated adoption of a cheaper, Qualcomm 808 chip, it would be interesting to see how LG prices its latest flagship and how well it optimises the chip to make the G4 perform as good as the competition. Fans, there is a lot to look forward to. So stay tuned.
